News Flash!! Most Food Products do not have Feet in their finished state!!

I went out to the traditional Friday evening campfire program at the scout camp. J. hadn't missed me at all, but it was nice to see him! He seems to have grown and matured alot.

So, we had pizza there and I ate two pieces. I also had a piece of watermelon. When I got J. two cookies and gave them to him, I had a revelation:

None of that food walked to me - I had to get up and get it myself. No chocolate chip cookie or brownie with white icing is going to walk up to me, put a gun to my head, and say, "Eat me, or else!"

Nope, if I want that food, I have to go after it. And I don't want it. I'm done with pursuing food.

Two pieces of pizza and a piece of watermelon seems healthy enough to me. You have to eat, don't beat yourself up for that!
Not being in a position to give advice, I nontheless give you this advice: Quit depriving yourself.

What I say to myself is that I will eat more fruits and vegetables. So when I get hungry, I can eat anytime I want. Ihave baby carrots and fruit at home I can munch on. When I get thirsty, I will drink water.

I have found that when I get hungry, rather than looking for a meal, I look for a snack, and the snack is generally unhealthy. So if I schedule my meals better, and limit what I eat for snacks, I will eat healthier overall.

Maybe cookies and brownies can't hold you hostage but sea-salt pita chips seem to have an aggresive hold on me.
